Imagine sending your friend a minigame and you accidentally sign him up for lemmy

we can redesign the on onboarding process.

🛑 stop explaining new terms 🛑 fuck infinite list of random names with anime girls (what do you want me to do,read!?)

Make it like a map and turn instances into buildings (or gardens/circle/doesnt matter). Show some stats like how big, who i can talk to, topic. Gamify the experience so the fatigue turns into curiousity.

I don’t want to spend more then 500€, i can use it for work but its not my main focus. It's not the first time i get recommended Lumix gh- for video recording, so thats a good option to have. As of camcorder i have no idea where to start, amazon is a shitshow.

Thanks for the tips tho, really appreciate it.

Thanks, i will def search in the used market, I don’t trust new products anymore. 😂 For mics i wanted to go with those clip mics, easy and flexible to record.

Idk about selling. My philosophy is that as long as I can use it, I’ll keep it and if it breaks I’ll fix.

A new camera yes, the old canon is not fit for this, but maybe i could reuse the lens? Idk, my understanding of cameras and lens are not great tbh. I’ll check fuji thx.

Oh wow…wtf. I was about to buy it, thanks. Is there an alternative?

I need to buy a camera for recording some easy shots indoor (explainer videos, tutorials, vlogs etc…). I already have an old basic canon for photos. Does anyone have any tips?

Yes, i did the same and tried to make it work with wine or distrobox with no luck (I’m probably not the best with linux). I ended up with a windows vm and all possible software that doesn't run on linux 🤷‍♂️

Is it the best solution? No. Did i get rid of that cancers called windows and adobe? Oh FUCK YES. Am I happy? Hell yea. I can do graphic design with a pencil if needed. Fuck Adobe, fuck Windows.

Thank you! DaVinci feels like the bigger problem, but between changing os or changing application, i will change davinci in a second. No more compromises for me, enough.

If i ever buy apple again i hope someone will find me and beat me up until I'm unconscious.

Yo linux team, i would love some advice.

I’m pretty mad at windows, 11 keeps getting worse and worse and I pretty done with Bill’s fetishes about bing and ai. Who knows where’s cortana right now…

Anyway, I heard about this new company called Linux and I’m open to try new stuff. I’m a simple guy and just need some basic stuff:

  • graphic stuff: affinity, canva, corel, gimp etc.. (no adobe anymore, please don’t ask.)
  • 3d modelling and render: blender, rhino, cinema, keyshot
  • video editing: davinci
  • some little coding in Dart/flutter (i use VS code, I don’t know if this is good or bad)
  • a working file explorer (can’t believe i have to say this)
  • NO FUCKIN ADS
  • NO MF STUPID ASS DISGUSTING ADVERTISING

The tricky part is the laptop, a zenbook duo pro (i9-10/rtx2060), with double touch screens.

I tried ubuntu several years ago but since it wasn’t ready for my use i never went into different distros and their differences. Now unfortunately, ready or not, I need to switch.

Edit: the linux-company thing is just for triggering people, sorry I didn’t know it was this effective.
