I keep looking at SteamDecks but can’t pull the trigger.

Besides gaming what can you do with it? Like can I browse the darkweb on the go? Does it have regular PC functionality?

This is an assumption but he’s just preaching to the choir at this point. I don’t see him having a mainstream audience and the only people that listen are people that already know how fucked everything is.

Also, so many ads. Like sure he’s got to make a living but he’s doing it in the very system he opposes.

It’s literally a waste of my time to report it to the police. Plus I ain’t speaking to the police unless I’m under arrest and even then it’s to say no comment.

Sure if I see someone get murdered or a something serious then sure I’ll speak, but generally the police can get to fuck. They’re not friends and I’ve only ever had bad interactions with them.

It will just come as standard with phones. Apple made a deal with OpenAI so it’s only a matter of time until Samsung does the same. Then it becomes a selling point for the device.

I listen to Better Offline and I’m as jaded and cynical as the rest of us, but even I find some of his episodes too much to take.

Like he has no impartiality at all, particularly his takes on LLMs. Our small company of software developers and engineers have saved so much time with Visual Studio CoPilot. The fact is there are uses where they’re extremely useful; just maybe not as the MSM portrays it.

Apple already have the perfect form factor, it’s called a phone.

Wipe your system. Then it’s uninstalled.

Cancel your recurring payment. Then that’s done too.

I used TuneMyMusic when I moved from Apple to Tidal.

Now this isn’t without its own stupid system.

So to transfer all your music and not just a limited amount you have to sign up to pay for it. Now I’m fine paying a one off fee for this service as it was seamless, what in against it the only options being an annual fee or a recurring payment.

It cost me like £3, maybe less in being lazy. But I had to sign up, do the transfer then immediately cancel. I understand some people might be bougie and use multiple services, but not having a one time fee irked me.

If you go this route, as it is easy as tidal will send you there, please do what I did and send them a complaint afterwards about the ludicrous system and that they should add a one time fee to make it even easier. Heck I would have paid £5 for this as I have so many playlists and liked albums and songs etc.

I mentioned it on here previously and someone alluded to free services but I can’t confirm.

I just subbed to all three of those.

I find half the battle here is finding new places to sub to. I’ll browse all but always forget to sub to new ones I see.

I think for sports, it’s difficult as it seems most of us early adopters here are, well let’s say nerdier than the average, and as a rule tend to follow sport less.

Even me, I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch sport, aside from the olympics. But as an introvert that had a shitty home life I learnt quickly how to be a fake extrovert and thus had a lot of friends and so got surrounded by sport and stuff.

Why?

I kinda like how I often quickly run out of new interesting posts to comment on, but there is enough that I can have engaging conversations.

The more people that come the more it gets watered down. Not that I am gatekeeping, people can do as they like. Just I am happy right now.

Edit: Curious about the downvotes. Considering I explicitly said I’m not trying to gate keep and people can do as they please.

Thanks. That helps enough for me to search it not on Google

Codecs for iOS and Android?

As I imagine that’s where the most people are streaming from.
