I think there's something similar in terms of initial patent rights, but it's awful that people who need these meds are footing the bill. I realise now that I have been spoiled by the NHS. The idea of charging people for medical care that they need is unthinkable to me. It's heartbreaking.

Wow, damn I had no idea. It's criminal that they're allowed to price gouge people like that!

I'd understand if it was some frivolous cosmetic thing made from anglerfish caviar or something equally absurd, but this is lifesaving medicine. I wish terrible things on the people who set those prices, that's pure evil.

Does the US not have generic unbranded drugs?

Generics are literally a fact of life over here (UK) and the fact that Americans are going insane over them is wild to me. The NHS will prescribe generics as standard because they're cheaper to supply and they're literally the same drug.

My mother has a whole goody-bag of medication and there's not a single brand name to be seen. They've kept her going for >10 years.

I mean, the bar is on the ground at this point at best.

It was a painful process, having my love of Pokémon games slowly stripped away until I finally gave up on them. It's hard giving up on something that you've loved from childhood. Pokémon used to be my comfort game and it's now unplayable trash.

The only reason I still have my Switch at all right now is the Zelda franchise because I currently lack the means to emulate. And the occasional sale item from the eShop because I'm not paying full price for a Switch game ever again after they ruined Pokémon.

I'm surprised no one's brought up the hellscape we know as the Nintendo eShop. It's >90% trash.

This. I worked in a call centre for a while. Service was not the priority, speed was. I got in trouble for staying on the line to actually resolve a customer's issue because it took a long time (basically ended up having to do a conference call with the third party who had fucked up). I left that job ASAP because fuck that.

And shit like this is why I just installed Linux Mint on my mother's PC. No issues so far.

I know a guy who took T for gains at one point in his life. He says it felt great at the time, he had more energy and his gains were amazing but now he doesn't naturally produce enough testosterone of his own and it's fucking his joints up in old age. His bone density is closer to that of a woman in his age group and one of his hands is essentially disintegrating.

His words, not mine.

Didn't know about Barclays! Thank you for educating me.

I'm afraid not. You can have Google Wallet installed but you can't have bank cards on it on GrapheneOS.

Edit: this link for more context

I loved it too until I forgot my wallet one day. It's the one thing I had to go back to stock Android for because I forget everything but my phone constantly.

Glad to see I'm not the only one! Same phone, same OS, same issue here too.

They are indeed some spiteful ass cunts.
