You said the Bitcoin ledger is mutable. It's not. You said Bitcoin isn't anonymous and that's mostly true because it's pseduo-anonymous which can be fully anonymous if you want it to be.

but it needs to be secure and allow for anonymous transactions, and not allow for tampering with the ledger. Bitcoin has failed on all three accounts.

Lol what? No legitimate bitcoin critics make these claims against Bitcoin. The ledger is immutable and the transactions are pseudo anonymous. In fact your typical bitcoin critic lists these as downsides ("no way to reverse mistakes" and "cannot prevent money laundering") right after the criticisms about energy consumption.

You legitimately have no idea what you're talking about.

It's crazy how quickly ~~people~~ Boomers, managers, executives and capitalists flip flop between "Salary is performance based you don't have set hours" to "You didn't work every hour from 9-5". This hypocritical nonsense only drives more people to take on anti-work perspectives.

If you want me to make executive decisions then pay me like an executive.

if it’s human-viewable it’ll also be computer-viewable

Sort of. If you raise a person to look at thousands pictures of random pixels and say "that's a fox" or "that's not a fox" eventually they'll make up a pattern to say if the random pixels are a fox or not. Meanwhile someone raised normally will take one look and go "that's just random pixels it's not a picture of anything". AI is still in that impressionable stage. So you feed it garbage and it doesn't know it's garbage.

Obviously you don't have a business degree.

The problem compounds as they post more and more content creating a feedback loop of terrible information.

Lol. I gave a counter argument that had nothing to do with NFTs that blew up your home brewed understanding of what digital ownership is and then you turn around and accuse me of ignorance?

Just because digital content is on your device doesn't mean you own it. That's the case for digital movies, music, books and so forth and has been long before NFTs were even a thing. This isn't up for debate. Until you acknowledge that there's no point in even having a conversation.

Again, that's obviously not how ownership works. You can download movies and music too. Doesn't mean you own them. If your argument is "it doesn't stop piracy" I'm not disagreeing with that.

If you're questioning the value of digital receipts for monkey images I'm not disputing that. For me that's on par with beanie babies, postage stamps and other odd things people collect. I don't have to be excited about the current application to be excited about the fact that it works and what that means it could be used for in the future.

And of course, it would make sense that such a system wouldn't be used for something significantly important like property deeds or car registrations right away. NFTs are just another phase of demonstrating the capabilities.
