If it's a longer term tenant, the landlord is actually disincentivized from fixing the AC, because they can fix the AC and jack the rent way up as soon as the old, abuse tenant inevitably leaves.

One of my friends suffered through this during the recent heat wave. They've been told there's no budget for AC despite a recent $50 rent hike.

Their landlord is an independently wealthy multimillionaire — they don't even need the money!

Related, while I'm sure it's not fully pacifist, Torment: Tides of Numenera greatly emphasises dialogue and text descriptions.

Not sure if you intended this double entendre but https://lgbtqia.wiki/wiki/Zucchini is already associated with platonic relationships in a queer context. Which I could see as being useful cover for a hookup app, but just making sure.

Are there platonic hookups on grindr??

My first thought as well. And while the mention startups explicitly

A new £30 million Games Growth Package over three years to back the next generation of start-up games studios and talent, …

the fund needs to be protected, so it can do its work.

I do wish there was a way to check out early without endangering your insurance, though.

That's great to hear. And for what it's worth while I can imagine simple images, I don't usually while I'm reading. I just sort of understand what's happening in a non-visual way.

Do you enjoy graphic novels?

Actually, I wonder if people who have difficulty visualizing from words would struggle to, like, make their own pictures.

We've all got to start somewhere.

God damn, it does.

I mean, aren't we changing things right now, changing the way it goes?

Sorry for all my railing against the mainstream, I can't resist quoting T2.

But yes, I suspect you're right. Really, it's a kind of return to the pre-commercial internet, before corpos started trying to capture, valueize, and monetize all of our freely given interactions on their platforms.
