Thanks! Their story is interesting in and of itself (in its problematic way suited to the era), but I do try to give it my own flair.

From what I remember from writing an undergrad history paper on these dudes, it was used for lots of things such as a treatment for chlamydia (or another STI - I don't remember exactly). These dudes were banging their way across America, especially the black slave they brought along as apparently the locals thought he had big magic.

I'm not condoning any of this sort of colonialism - just clarifying that these dudes probably single-handedly introduced some new STIs to whole populations, and they were dragging their leaky mercury-riddled dicks along in their boats.

It's weird how in the Western world we rarely call them oligarchs. That seems to be reserved for the wealth-hoarders in former-Soviet countries.

I actually very recently tried it. I'm sure it's great but something about the UI or maybe general paradigm switch versus apps like Notion really confused me. It looks great though, so I'm sure I'll give it another go sometime when I have a bit more time to really learn it. Nonetheless, I appreciate the recommendation!

Using the hotline won't get you fired, but somehow - for totally unrelated reasons - after using it you'll end up on a PIP with untenable goals, and that will get you fired.

I'm still stuck on Notion. I keep looking for OSS alternatives but nothing I've tried has all the features I want.

He's almost definitely going to call someone a pedo again.

I haven't seen anything new in years. This one has to be at least a good 5 to 10 years old, as I think it may have been among the first I'd ever seen.

Absolutely! He's just got this special sort of naivety that I find hilarious.

Thank you! I don't think I'd seen all of those. This one has always been my fave:

My God, just imagine the state of their computers.

Just like when white men came to the Americas and brought over diseases that the locals had no resistance against, the same is going to apply to whatever they're using for computers. With no cultural foundation for the dangers of the internet, I bet every device in their community is already a part of a botnet and they've slowed to a crawl from crypto-mining malware.

Which makes sense, since otherwise you could claim someone is dead and just social engineer yourself a free account.

Hey its me ur [dead] brother.
