I mean billions of people believe in magic sky man, another few billion believe in magic sky man’s father, and the last couple billion believe in magic sky man’s brother

…and are all convinced their magic sky man is real and the others aren’t, so…

Do… do you seriously think poaching employees to recreate technology to the point of literally infringing on a patent is justified, while then extolling the virtues of a theoretical free market which by definition enforces competition through strict regulation?

Man capitalism really does a number on the brain

If you actually read any of the articles about this isssue, you would know this was the result of Apple trying to poach an entire company’s development group to make the same oximeters for them. The normal course for this is to just buy the company whose IP you need instead of, you know, counterfeiting.

Not only is that spitting in the face of regulators, it royally pissed off the remaining engineer C suite at Masimo and god help you if you ever legally wrong an engineer with the power and money to get revenge.

Did you guys know most rental properties are made of wood?

Unrelated but apparently worker termite colonies will molt into reproductive adults in the absence of a queen and many hobby sources supply worker termites to most US states! It can be a fun and fulfilling hobby for those of all walks of life.

If your company forced you to use mobile authentication, they should also be providing you with a device on the company plan at no cost to the employee.

In which case you should absolutely use MS Auth and give them all your delicious work data because nothing personal should be on the device anyway.

The early model PS3 had a literal PS2 crammed inside of it for the sole purpose of backwards compatibility which was fascinating. The death of physical media (blu ray) and high price kind of caused it to flop that generation. Look who’s laughing now though!

Most importantly. Where the fuck are renters supposed to charge these fucking things?

This is why mass EV adoption is not going to happen. Good luck convincing landlords to install chargers.

I’m not dicking around for 2 hours at a station every week waiting for a charge, let alone multiple times a week.

It’s mildly fun if you use CE to give yourself good gear/money to skip the 50 hours of literally useless “gameplay” grinding in a single player RPG
