Based Japan once again. I would love to see other countries requiring this too, but I'm not going to hold my breath unfortunately.

Yep, it's unfortunate that manufacturers are taking more and more control away from users. That's why open-source software like Linux is so important, you can do anything you want to with it.

Gotta love phantom rules, just make it up as you go along.

Man, the enshitification is really taking over.

Unfortunately we live in a society where it's fuck the average person, corporations are the only thing that matters.

Don’t mix finances and family. Family is more important than money.

It seems like OP's family may not feel the same way.

Nah, that's shit. We are not the problem. The people in this thread don't seem to be the kind of people to go out and buy the latest device every 6 months. I keep my phones for years until either the performance or battery becomes nearly unusable for me. I install Linux on older hardware (and newer hardware) and buy new hardware when necessary, not every time it comes out.

You can blame the average person, sure, but saying all of us is just incorrect.

Japanese also has quite a few borrow-words/loan-words from English too.

You can have some really English-sounding Japanese: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW4AiEqKGto lol

Who doesn't want to buy some FUCKIN'? It's 20% off, after all.

I was thinking more from a parent's point of view. It's a lot easier to block a whole website than parts of a website.

Yep. It's a lot easier to block Pornhub than it is to block porn on Twitch but leave the rest of Twitch unaffected.
