Unsure, but I think it’s because one of apple’s main talking points in recent years has been privacy (think the Apple logo with the lock). Whether it’s true or not, Apple has built trust with its users (misplaced or otherwise), whereas MS has lost a lot of that trust (especially with the recent Recall fiasco).

I think both companies are storing and using user data and telling you they aren’t, but I think it’s like what you said. People for whatever reason trust Apple more

Good on these parents for trying to raise their kids off social media. I can say with confidence social media only hurt me in middle and high school, and I wish my parents had had stronger opinions on me using it

All the AI garbage from M$ is what made me finally make the swap a couple weeks ago to Linux Mint on my personal desktop. I only use my PC for gaming/entertainment, so the switch was super easy. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re wanting to get away from Windows!
