My guess is that the down-votes are because it doesn't fit into this community. Actually I was struggling to find one where this link would fit in and Technology was the closest I could find. Or the video is just bad.

Mine has always been slow. I started on a raspberry pi but later on a NUC and even on my VPS at Hetzner, it was always like you describe. Because I only used it for calendar, adressbook and sharing a few files I replaced it with Radicale for CalDav and CardDav and Syncthing for sharing files.
I planned to selfhost my own code repos forever, this gives me one more little push, but let's see if I move it to my server.
I have too many photos to sync, but I have two different Document my own and family documents, so that I can share the family documents with my spouse.
I'm syncing my KeePassXC db with Syncthing to about 6 devices, have been doing so for years. And a second db which we share at work.
I guess this is because they download directly from YouTube instead of a proxy?
Ah, ok I see, I'll try to find a different instance then, probably good to find one closer to South Korea where I am.

I would welcome a better search engine, all the SEO stuff destroyed Googles index of the web so it's difficult to find real things outside of reddit. Or perhaps nobody posts on the open web anymore?
That's good, but soon every video will partially be AI because it'll be build in into the tools. Just like every photo out there is retouched with Lightroom/Photoshop.
