I wouldnt call it enthusiast grade, every day usage is easy but installation can be tough (it gives you a barebones system).

Alpine:

  • Rolling release (Alpine Edge) yet stable
  • Extremely lightweight
  • Very customizable
  • After setting it up I find that it works very well
  • Decently sized repo
  • OpenRC rather then SystemD (I prefer the way it handles services)

I don't get seasonal depression, I'm always depressed :c

Tbh I kinda hope Bethesda doesn't make a new Fallout game, I predict if they do make a new one it'll make Fallout 76 look like New Vegas in comparison.

I use Steam and I run Alpine

Continuing to use Reddit is just sunk cost fallacy, does it have more posts? Yes but Lemmy can have more posts if we use it. As someone who spent a long time building and maintaining subreddits did it hurt a bit when I left? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely

I wanted a Wayland WM but also something lightweight

I personally use Alpine on my Thinkpad

I checked, if you insist on a tablet your best option is going with an older microsoft surface tablet.
