I've used Linux for decades but not for desktop usage. I work with Linux every day.

I recently purchased a high end workstation to act as a hypervisor for multiple desktop systems. The plan was to boot into a Linux system and then from there load up one of many desktop OS and work seamlessly within a VM. This has worked well on a Windows host with VMWare Workstation and allows me as a contractor to have separation of configuration between customers.

However I found Linux desktop to have too many glitches. From failed package installs, multiple monitor problems and some special keys being sent to both VM and host. I also found the user interface of some apps to be bad, which I can look past but with the other fundamental issues it added a bad taste to the experience. I really want it to work and I do go back every now and then to try again.

And in both cases, that is bullshit. Just because it happens doesn't mean we should accept it.

The was a long sentence. I imagined you gasping for breath at the end.

I expect they get themselves insured for it

Steam hardware survey is another data point.

Looks like in March Win10 usage increases a little. Overall it's on a downward trend though.

What do you mean neglected for years?

It's time for something new, yes. It's been nearly 10 years since the first release. But I wouldn't say it has been neglected.

I really like the original game, I just find it really difficult. I want to beat it at least once. After several pay throughs, I finally killed the last boss only to reveal another act! I died shortly after and haven't got that far again. Sucks for me.

Reminds me of the package "cmatrix"

I bought the Shokz opencomm 2 recently and returned them. I wanted a loose fitting headset for home office that didn't look like I was wearing winter ear muffs.

They really look good. They sound okay. The mic is very good.

My bosses voice made them tickle. Even at the lowest volume everything he said was uncomfortable. They tickle at high volume anyway but having a call with this guy multiple times a day started to get annoying.

I have a jabra evolve2 55 now. Interior, but no tickle

Both the article and the CVE description point to how Rust handles escaping for CMD arguments. If it's not a Rust issue then can you explain?
