there must be an everyday item that functions as a makeshift alternative.

is there a name for the superfine point ones?
https://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/sandbox-permissions.html
is a bit daunting.
some context: im not personally complaining. im not even using linux right now.
but back when i did uae flatpak.. i found digging in to the internals to be something more aimed at experienced developers or package maintainers. and maybe thats not such a bad thing. but.. modern linux systems are complicated when based on frameworks where things can break for obscure reasons.
the i3/sway scratchpad feature is handy. extra esp at beginner stage.
better documentation eg: of cli commands would be an essential first step.
seedbox or vps(torrent) in a privacy/legal protected country may be a viable alternative for mainstream movie or tv shows.

important tldr summary: "Many Windows 10 computers do not meet the Windows 11 system requirements"
i pretty much dont give a fuck what companies do.
except its hella destructive/wastefull to the environment.. and also will probably drive up the price of computers for everyone.
thats an awesome idea! much thanks for the info!
personal insight preinstall (for ppl reading this):
- it is always better to use fdroid apps whenever possible.
i had tried mcroG once upon a time(many years ago). it didnt work for me.
possible reasons:
- project may have been less mature than it is today.
- other. (see below)
installation:
https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/wiki/Installation
"Install GmsCore.apk" , "Install GsfProxy.apk"
"Please review the Prerequisites and Helpful Information before starting installation."
https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/wiki/Prerequisites
"Your System needs to support signature spoofing, see Signature Spoofing" , "[You need a ROM that supports signature spoofing.]"
conclusion:
-need to follow the specific installation instructions.
- according to the docs.. u need a custom rom(distro ie lineageOS on a supported device.)

people are gave some good answers.
it boils down to various large sites.
wikipedia(app) and reddit(app) are my top.
often time i just bang out a search and pinpoint the answer and trash the rest.

stackexchanges and ycomb are some other popular sites.
quora used to seem attractive but information is questionable and the whole experience is trash.
gemini, bookmarks, chatgpt are some others. also libgen .
i suggest block play services in your main profile and let it be enabled for some apps in your work profile. via shelter app.
some are thicker or thinner than others. some phones have a superthin hole. so some ejectors or a paperclip won't work (for some phones).
maybe the superthin variety is the most common variety out there. but i have a collection and they are nearly all thick.
