I don't see what point you're trying to make, unless you think I need a ~~reindeer~~ reminder that everyone eventually dies.

If you follow that reasoning, the ultimate conclusion is that it's perfectly fine to let sick or disabled people die.
Making money isn't capitalism. A market economy isn't capitalism. You can look up the textbook definition, but to me capitalism means organizing absolutely everything around the pursuit of profit for the ownership class. Indie developers by and large aren't in it for the money; that would make no sense, because they could make better money doing something else.
Ever heard of indie games?
Any more than Herbert ripped off the book Lawrence of Arabia is based on?
Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd?
All nationalism is brain rot.
Yeah, I think I would've have gotten it in 2019, but kneeling definitely isn't at the top of my mind as a form of protest. And even at the time it seemed odd to me because kneeling is almost always interpreted as a show of respect.
This. I still write plenty of bash scripts, but I've noticed that except for really simple cases, I very quickly reach a point where I would have been better off using Python instead. And when I start with a Python scripts I often end up redoing it in Rust for a variety of reasons. It's just easy to underestimate how serious a programming project is. At least I've never started something in bash that I needed to migrate to Rust.
(I think a lot of people would see Go as the next logical step from Python, but I personally find some things about Go really irritating.)
I'm American and I didn't get the reference.
Except there are a ton of right wing positions that don't benefit anyone except the politicians who use them to keep their supporters angry and afraid. I'd go so far as to say left wing policies are primarily about helping people and right wing policies are primarily about hurting people.
If it's ok to announce you're moving to Linux (and it is), then it's ok to announce you're moving away.
