I haven't, but I've noticed the discussion seems confined to those communities, and you get yelled at if you bring it to elsewhere.

Maybe that's true in a legal sense, depending on the jurisdiction, but in a moral sense, it's only true if you read and understood what you were agreeing to. You can't consent to something you were tricked into.

I recall a while back someone did a study that there are not enough hours in the day for an average person to actually read all the TOS documents they're expected to agree to. The idea that people can or should be responsible for knowing what's in a TOS is a legal fiction.

Don't forget people not caring about the car because it's a rental.

Every big company suffers from "not invented here" syndrome. It's not always just because of arrogance. For example, as an engineer at Google, it can be less hassle to use a first-party library than a third-party one.

Also your list of examples is pretty bad. Guava is one I remember filling a real need when I worked at a small Java shop, and as I recall there was no widely used alternative to Protobuf when it came out. Gradle isn't even from Google at all!

Just use Firefox!

Switch to Linux!

Why are you still on Twitter?

Only old people use Facebook!

[Silence about that site we don't talk about.]

Am I missing any?

BTW do you know anyone who's hiring buggy whip makers?

What's the one just under the M? It looks like the Microsoft Teams logo except the people date hugging.
