No not really, the GPUs that datacenters are buying doesn't even have a display output so they are useless to the vast majority of home users.

If you run a home lab then maybe.

Pretty sure Wayland is installed by default and maybe even enabled by default on new installs.

On the login screen there should be a button to switch between x11 and Wayland.

It can be helpful if you know how to use it though.

I don't use it myself a lot but quite a few at work use it and are very happy with chatgpt

I think it sounds like there are huge gains to be made in energy efficiency instead.

Energy costs money so datacenters would be glad to invest in better and more energy efficient hardware.
