Again i'm having abiguity with works. I mean it shows as ampersand gt semicolon and not a single symbol for me. Are you reffering the same? Is it showing a single > symbol for you?

You know, FOSS isually have that long support duration. See how custom roms give like 5 additional android version upgrades. Only because devs use the same hardware. I guess thats true for linux users as well. Unlike proprietary software that fucks up ethe end of life

Mint do have software center preinstalled, which supporta flatpaks. Synaptic is a wrapper around apt afaik and it is useful for people who want to use apt without knowing the commands.
