It's not a setting that available to admins out of the box, and someone tweaking their instance not to process the request for deletion from the ActivityPub protocol can't really be detected from the outside, and sure won't be published.

Once it's out there in the fediverse, you can assume it's there to stay.

It could also contain non-public domain data, and you can't declare someone else's intellectual property as public domain just like that, otherwise a malicious actor could just train a model with a bunch of misappropriated data, get caught (intentionally or not) and then force all that data into public domain.

Laws are never simple.

It would be nice to have the ability to host a third-party repository. We do it for Linux, F-Droid, etc why not Wordpress?

What a terrible idea.

The statistics and the science, not the anecdotes and inadequate sample size.

From what I understand, Clubsall doesn't allow federation to go both ways and accept that users outside of its domain can participate freely in their communities.

Can't have it both ways of leeching the posts from other large instances while simultaneously making it an exclusive club where only local users can participate, it goes contrary to the social contract and spirit of the Fediverse.

And it mixes well with ham/bacon.

Did you select your home instance when accessing https://lemmyverse.link/ for the first time?

It would be safer to use a Linux flavor and run the apps you need using Wine/Proton..

Good question 🤔

Two games I anticipated came out on Steam only, so I asked the developers if they planned to sell on alternative platforms and they did, but considering the game isn't full done yet (they released it in Early Access) Initially I was annoyed, but after their response (they want to focus their effort on the game before adding the extra burden of managing multiple update channels) I understand why they did, on top of being a small team.

I decided to wait for one (came out on GOG on v1.0) and for the second one I decided to buy it on Steam right away since there's still a lot of work left.
