Yeah unfortunately not quite what I'm looking for, but cool to see they're there
I just hope the platform will expand into more niche content over time. The big topics seem to be news, politics, and some specific tech subjects. Would love to see arts/crafts/hobby related stuff take hold here as well.
That said, I do think a lot of the discussion happening here is pretty high quality and the place does seem to be improving over time. Time will tell. Hopefully more people wake up to the fact that reddit is not gonna hold up on the long term. I expect them to go IPO crazy this coming year and I don't think a lot of the core users are going to like it.
Ram trucks drive like fucking assholes so I believe this. Damn near any time you see one of those lifted Dodge trucks on the highway you can assume they’ll behave like a jerk if given the opportunity.
And as far as Teslas go, I really do not think people should have cars that accelerate that fast. People are dumb as shit and Tesla’s slowest model has a 0-60 of under 6 seconds and a lot of their cars are sub 4 seconds. That’s super car territory.
I've heard it is utter fucking trash
Yeah I've recently gone the self hosted route for video and may go for audio soon too, but not quite there yet. I think for now I can deal with the few minor annoyances I have with Overcast.
What I'd really like to see someone crack is an machine learning prodcast player that can snip out ads. A few of the podcasts I like have gotten fucking insufferable for ads lately.
Yeah the Pocketcasts pricing is stupid as hell. I've been having some issues with Overcast and was looking to switch but there's no way that price is worth it.
That's actually the most interesting concern I've seen raised about this. I hadn't thought about that. The embrace, extend, extinguish thing is what you see most people raise as a issue.
Why tho?
Aren't you German? If so you'd be using WhatsApp anyway
True Pianos is a really solid piano VST by the way. It's been years since I used it, but it was really good back when I was dabbling with this stuff.
Yeah I thought that was a pretty obvious attempt to ease people into it. So this news doesn't come as a shock. If anything I'm surprised it took this long.
