Words have meaning and we dont let people arguing in bad faith determine that meaning. Most republicans would call Biden socialist, but is he by any measure?

I agree, you should see how mad the liberals got when I told them that the term leftist means someone who is against capitalism, not just people more left than elected representatives. Had a whole fight with me about the word not meaning that and that you could totally be a capitalist supporter and a leftist.
They think everyone to their left is a tankie and everyone to their right is maga and they alone posses the singular correct opinion.

Not all technology is inherently neutral, and scientists know this. Scientists also typically know whos funding them. You think anyone at BD was surprised to see their work on a robot dog end up by the sides of police to be deployed at protests?
Is it going to be used to do dangerous labor, or just expensive labor? I have a feeling the places like the cobalt mines in Africa will be among the last to get robot workers while McDonalds in countries with first world wages will probably be among the first.
A robot could never excede my performance in being depressed and autistic so Im safe.
Not really a lot. They have some manufacturing, but more than most of it's out of china by now. The chinese economy grows more when chinese citizens buy Xiaomi than it does when they buy Apple, I don't know what's confusing about that. It's like saying buying Ford is better for the American economy than buying a BYD car made in Mexico.
It doesn't. Which is why Xiaomi still generates money for China while Apple does not.
But they're Chinese owned, China still gets a cut, a big cut, of the buisness they generate. China gets nothing from Apple.
He's got a 'we use pizza' hat for them
