I'm confused. You asked if you would be fine to criticize the left here without getting banned and I replied to that comment answering, and now you're telling me that wasn't the subject? Why do you assume I was only talking about the users?

Any Leftist that's done any real organizing has likely worked with Anarchists. Those guys hate all states, and aren't afraid to tell your classic Marxists about how some of those very left states did them realllllly bad. I don't think any leftist whos operating in good faith has a problem with real critisizm. I think they have problems with state department propaganda lines that they have to hear and refute like every time they try to talk about any kind of Leftism.

Especially since those lines are the some of the most detracting arguements there are (probably on purpose) so most times it does nothing but obfuscate the original point and move the topic of discussion away from that point.

I quit all non anonymous social media a while back and it's lonely as fuck. If I wasn't a low level autist with a small very online friend group I'd miss out on a lot. When people make plans for parties, get togethers, anything like that, they do it on social media and if I dont somehow hear about it and ask, I don't get an invite. This works for me as many of those people and parties are things that I don't wanna do, but if I had a kid in school I could not imagine the massive social gap it would create for them to not have social media.

For kids it really seems like a pick your poison situation, social media and all that comes eith it, or being left out of a lot of social activities at the most social time of your life.

Nintendo is just cheap Japanese Disney for gamers. They're every bit the corporate monster the mouse is, they're simply just not as powerful yet.

They made the same mistake a bunch of investors made, they thought they saw value in reddit.

My guess is reddit was cheap enough that it made sense to pay them as sort of insurance they dont get sued in the future.

Wild how the most left leaning social media sights somehow keep ending up in the targets of unimaginably wealthy people who stand to lose a lot from simply making the economy fair. Im sure giving the control of information flow to them will be so much better.
