shutting out a significant portion of your community without seeking their input first isn't a sensible move for such a foundational open source project.

It actually is a perfectly sensible move, and it doesn't "shut out" anyone. If anything, prioritizing twitter is what shuts users out. They linked to two-three alternatives. What's the argument here, exactly, from the other side?

Last I checked Loops required users to completely sign away every imaginable right to the content they posted. Unless that's changed I'm not too thrilled with them.

Yeah that's what has put me off getting a new Samsung phone as a free upgrade even though they have better specs. They all have the stupid Snapdragon processors.

I stopped looking into Odysee after I heard LBRY was shutting down. There doesn't seem to be much transparency on what the future of the site is. Also echoing the concern that some have already raised, the complete lack of moderation is a double edged sword that seems to have fostered a home for right-wing extremists.
