I switched over when I saw Zuckerberg and company at Trump’s inauguration. I’m Canadian and had been mostly trying to ignore the shitshow going on next door. I didn’t know they were all supporters. No fucking way do i want anything to do with anything those fucks are offering.
So the fact that I can still enjoy content and be connected to the world without making them more money is very appealing to me.
It took about a week to get through Facebook withdrawals because of the friends and family I had on there but it feels so good now without all the ads and bots. I made a last post before I checked out, explaining why I was going and inviting everyone to do the same.
