Sad but probably true.

I feel the need to put this on its head.

What if the girl, after whatever time they spent relaxing realized she truly enjoyed his company and decided she wanted to keep him as someone she can spend time as a person and not a sexual object?

Simple. Most FOSS are built for privacy and thus do not harvest data to send to some server somewhere in the world for whatever obscure reason. The data is locally stored on your device and stays and dies there.

No callback, no selling nor surrending data.

Personally speaking, I'd quicker have all data banks destroyed than surrendered to whatever purposes, if I ever decided to build an aplication that somehow compiled data.

No, no.

I literaly mean you pull a cable between yours and your neighbors house. Then the next house and so on and so forth.

Like building a record breaking lan party.

How much is your average subscription over there?

Make a large enough LAN and you get a small internet hub.

At this point, I wonder why people aren't simply laying down cable between eachothers homes to create communitary networks.

It's amazing, isn't it?

Isn't this an extreme security issue for companies?

Try doing some real physical labor, alone, with basic hand tools, outside, under the sun, then report back.

I'm a city boy moved to the country and went all cocky I could do and landed on my face. It gets scary when you see the world wobble in front of your eyes from exertion.

It may be oversimplified and exeggerated but for someone unaccostumed to hard physical labor it is gruelling.
