Hindemith’s original opera tells the story of a young nun who, aroused by a tale told by one of the nunnery’s older women, steps on to the altar naked and rips the loincloth from Christ’s torso. An encounter with a large spider leads her to repent her action and beg the other nuns to wall her up alive.

Maybe the war on drugs wasn't so bad after all.

AFA is the American Family Association, they're the ones leading the charge on things like Bud Light and Target boycotts. Seems like that link was part of a similar campaign.

I would have never thought I'd have seen the day a Lemmy user unironically cited American Family Association crying about a radio joke in a political thread. But here we are!

Yeah that's on-brand for her.

Didn't Kbin get replaced by Mbin?

Imagine having so few people at the office that the only way people know you're working remotely is your Outlook status

Ah, that doesn't shock me. Yeah I left when they started like disabling custom launchers or something, and I realized getting a Google TV would be easier than getting around that restriction.

Hmm...well it's been a couple years since I used my Fire Stick but I remember being able to sideload Android TV apps on there just like I can now with my Google TV device.

Honestly it's just a glorified Google TV with a nicer remote. I feel like the only Fire TV device that might be interesting enough to consider buying would be the Fire Cube or the Fire Recast but IDEK if they still work anymore.

Yep. My parents have a Brother printer that I use, and I work in IT and got a free HP printer that I'm holding onto for when I move out. Otherwise, I'd buy a Brother printer.

Dont care. The only HP printers I'll ever use moving forward are gonna be any I happen to get for free.
