You should write a will instructing your family to send those disks to the internet archive for preservation if something happened to you.

It is huge! They claimed to have preserved about 5% of the world’s books.

It's very illegal. iirc it was created by a group called "Pirate Library Mirror" after the guy that runs z-library got arrested, so I assume they're taking anonymity seriously to avoid arrest.

They host academic papers and books, most of them are copyrighted contents. They recently got in trouble for scraping a book metadata service to generate a list of books that hasn't been archived yet: https://torrentfreak.com/lawsuit-accuses-annas-archive-of-hacking-worldcat-stealing-2-2-tb-data-240207/

What scary is the maintainer that insert the backdoor has been main maintainer for xz for the last two years. Who know if they have other backdoors inserted in the last 2 years? Investigation is still ongoing so I expect more juicy revelations in the next few days.

If you're using xz version 5.6.0 or 5.6.1, please upgrade asap, especially if you're using a rolling-release distro like Arch or its derivatives. Arch has rolled out the patched version a few hours ago.

They still need to use payment processors, right? Those payment processors wouldn't allow adult contents. Those that do, charge significantly more for each transaction.

Not going to happen anytime soon because advertisers and payment processors with the lowest fee wouldn't touch sites that contain adult contents, even if said contents are not visible by default.

Homelab is a hobby, and like other hobbies, people actually loves doing the "unnecessary and overkill" stuff.

You might be able to extract searxng's arm docker image (e.g. with docker export command in your pc, then copy it over to your phone) and then use chroot to run it on termux. Don't forget to post it here if you succeed!
