In terms of headlines that make my blood run cold, this one is right up there with Microsoft signals renewed interest in Windows.

Edit: I discovered yesterday that this feature is already in the Roku app and it's actually kind of nice. Now I'm even more suspicious. ๐Ÿ˜†

๐ŸŽถYou put the feature in, you take the feature out, you put the feature in and shake it all about. ๐ŸŽถ

I've been using the Panorama Tab Groups add-on for years, which (as I recall) is pretty similar to the native stuff they inexplicably removed back in the day. It's currently unmaintained and a little janky in spots but perfectly usable.

This sounds fairly plausible. Depressing, but plausible.

I'm fascinated that at the time of this writing, this post has 17 upvotes and 41 downvotes. The article is consistent with other reporting I've seen recently on this topic and it would seem to fit the community. Why all the downvotes?

Recently I followed this guide on my late 2013 retina MBP and ended up with a fully working system. Used the latest Ubuntu [edit: 22.04 LTS Jammy Jellyfish] at the time. No hiccups that I recall. I'm not a Linux expert but I am familiar with installing and configuring Debian and Ubuntu. YMMV.

After letting the poor thing gather dust for several years, now I use it most every day.

Edit 2024-03-08 to clarify the release that I used
