You joke but post scarcity anarchism is probably the only truly viable post capitalist society where the state actually has a real chance of withering away. That means good praxis is anything which reduces scarcity - both in the form of technological developments and sustainability/ecology. And yes, harm reduction measures which foster collaboration and social cohesion and create actualized humans with real agency and a real stake in their own communities.

The problem with so much leftist thought is precisely that it denies agency to those it seeks to liberate. "Luxury gay space communism" is a meme, but it's based on a post-left idea which is actually far more rooted in reality than a lot of ML orthodoxy.

Yes basically all of our machines are Linux.

Nihilism isn't really a philosophy as much as it's an absence of philosophy. The idea of that creating a kind of random deviant behavior isn't really that unusual. There's lots of different kinds of nihilism as well. You can say someone is linguistic nihilist if they twist words to mean whatever suits their other interests. You can say someone is a meta-ethical nihilist if they reject the idea of global moral truth but still adhere to a localized moral behavior. You can call someone a metaphysical nihilist if they are unconcerned with the nature of their own being but still don't want to get hit in the mouth.

You don't get it. They will just force VPNs to black list sites. Business users will happily do it because they don't care about porn anyway. Any VPN which doesn't enforce UK laws will be blocked at the ISP level.

Not really sure how you read my comment as "shitting" on anyone. I'm just commenting that it's unexpected and unusual for a FOSS dev to not be Linux user. Idc what they do, just making the observation as someone involved in the FOSS space that most of my peers are more likely to shit on windows than Linux.

I just cannot wrap my head around an emulator dev who isn't daily driving Linux...

Damn people are really misunderstanding this comment. Legitimately just don't know anyone who is involved in FOSS projects who doesn't primarily use Linux. Not really passing judgement here, just making an observation.

I sort of don't understand why these places which are hosted somewhere else would even bother?

At first, it will probably work. But you will likely lose access after a few days and your servers will be scanned for exploits, so make sure your shit it up to date.

Source: hosted an XMPP server which was summarily banned after 2 days of access from China and then probed/attacked repeatedly until I took it offline.

Yeah I have often said that the internet died when conservatives figured out how to use it. And not like the old school "libertarian" nerd conservatives, but like mainstream Republican cultists.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/systemd/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus systemd Linux.
