That's good, I don't care much about the OS people use but yeah as long as they use something that they like and that doesn't exploit them that's great.

I use Guix System as my distro and it's great, just goes to show the power of free software, you won't get something like that anywhere else.

OpenSUSE might be a good one but you could also experiment with archlinux in a VM learning it really helps in making you more comfortable with GNU/Linux in general. They have good guides and a good wiki.

I use GNU Guix System and I really like how it works. Is it the best? There is no best really but to me those distros with 100% free software are the best. Like Trisquel, Parabola and GNU Guix System

There is drama in everything. I don't think GNU/Linux is any different. I don't really care about what distro other people use tbh, I can joke about it but never seriously argue for which distro, text editor, programming language, etc. is the best. I just like that I can choose and get just what I want.
