Fediverse: a network of community built and run platforms.

I like that.

This does look fun, my first thoughts went back to the mx vs atv series. Any racing game that allows physical violence against your adversaries is a formula for a good time ๐Ÿ˜

It's still going to be a dumpsterfire.

The language settings are set to auto.

I'm using the Photon frontend if it helps.

Awesome, logging out (switching to 'guest') made everything show up from my home instance.

I am/was able to see the comment from originalucifer, however, from before I logged out.

I am able to see posts from 'Midnight' on the 'collapse...' community when logged in.

No, I didn't get any notification from your original ping attempt.

Yes it is. That's interesting, it's still not showing up on my profile for me.

Also checked on Voyager, nothing.

I'm still learning the quirks of federation and the behaviors of communities hosted on different instances, so I apologize if this is something that's been asked repeatedly.

I made a post to a community I am subscribed to at lemmy.ca, from my home instance at slrpnk.net. Public posts on that community (as well as the post that I made) are not showing up from my home instance. My profile page on my home instance does not show any record of the post that I made.

I was only able to find existence of the post that I made by going to lemmy.ca, and then finding the community that I posted to from there.

Why exclude Pixelfed though?

Welcome, by the way! ๐Ÿ˜

The first one was a lot of fun, even though I was pretty shit at it and didn't have anyone to play it with at the time.

Nintendo was responsible for that?

Is that something people would even need/want here?

I'm wondering if you have any favorite fediverse resources for dog owners? Breed questions, training techniques, product recommendations, etc.

I think that would make a great community if there isn't one already. I've only run across #dogsofmastodon so far, but that is really more for just pictures I think.

It's been difficult to broach the subject and explain the technical concepts to the average person. I did have some success in first sharing the email comparison, which lead into interoperability.

I'm just curious to hear people's success stories, if you have any.

My options for internet connectivity are very limited. I was wondering if I could go to a library or coffee shop or wherever has a good connection and do all my downloading remotely, or if I will run into problems/restrictions.

I'm thinking they may not allow VPN's or something like that?
