Books are made like this because it's impossible to make them any other way, but a digital device can have just one "page" since you read one page at time like Kindles and Kobos

I don't like the fact that it has two displays. It's unnecessary and makes it thicker and heavier.

I'm afraid that not using Gecko or Blink may expose me to any sort of malware while visiting the web tbh

They surely can. But if both Mozilla and Google are shit companies, one can just choose to use a browser based on the open source Chromium. As far as I know it performs better than Firefox

Mozilla is completely detached from its user base. They think their average user is a Microsoft enthusiast when in reality it's a Debian enjoyer.

My homelab made of scrap electronics from the previous decade has officially had less downtime ratio than AWS this year

I have some services in my homelab but I never expose anything to the public. For this I have a Contabo VPS hosting a Wikipedia mirror and a XMPP server for anyone who wants to access it

I was just about to install Gitea. Any substantial differences between the two?

For me borg is ideal. Once a month I run a backup.

I will start first

  • I didn't notice my diy NAS motherboard had Pci-E Gen 2.0 (old gen) before buying it. It's not a great limitation (still 500MB/s) for the two spinning disks I have on it, but it'd be if I will decide to switch to SSDs
  • I cheaped out on the PSU. I bought another one without waiting for that crap to burn down so I eventually spent more
  • I often break the software. Sometimes I kill the OS or mess with some BTRFS pools

Sometimes I just feel not adequate for it. Does this kind of things happen to you too?
