Probably because the emoji fonts don't change their colour with the font.color, which normal characters do.

And your browser is using a different font from mine

For example, on the dark background of the UI I am viewing your comment on, The $ symbol is in white colour (as the font has been set).

But the emoji is dark grey, and wouldn't be visible if I had a cheap, low contrast monitor.

Just get a sandwich toaster.

It browns better in general too and burns less.

The only con being that it doesn't let the moisture escape well enough (but that depends upon the model).

My first laptop was a handed down R52.
Thanks to that, I never got good with a touchpad.
Now, it's either mouse or a trackpoint for me.

I'd rather Adobe not do that, but to each his own.

More Linux users =>

  • more people looking at source code
  • more people potentially paying for development of some OSS Linux software
    • More developer time for said OSS software => better OSS Linux software

More akin to a rabbit-hole, due to that.
But who said rabbits don't shit in their holes?

Oh! And the soil is transparent.

I am a desktop person.
My main reasons for using a smartphone instead of a phone, are:

  1. GPS Maps. This is something I most probably won't be able to contribute to, while at the same time, I need it a lot.
  2. UPI (Unified Payments Interface). I can manage with paper money, but this is just too useful. If Linux mobile were to pick-up, I think I could manage to get it supported by the Govt.
  3. WhatsApp, because no matter how much I don't want to, others, including workplace teammates, will make that a requirement.

Until these requirements are met, I will associate Linux mobile with words like, "next" and "tomorrow".

Welcome to Linux for Mobile.
The next generation OS for keeping your smartphone private and your conversations (kinda) secure.

It's "next generation", because we probably won't have a good enough solution in the lifetime of the current generation's people.

But if you have both: enough money to buy an extra fairphone for testing and the time and ability to program drivers, please consider it.
