Shows how much, most companied wont want to give you DRM free stuff.

Who knows, maybe they are gaining side-revenue, selling your memory scans.

Just don't run their shitty silicon burners on your system and get some good stuff.
Support teams that are willing to make builds for the latest Arch release (and tell me too if you find any :P).

I have narrowed down my "to pay" list to GoG + Linux games, only problem being, since they are not open source, we still depend upon them rebuilding the binaries for the latest systems. Otherwise, we need to then keep an older version of Ubuntu for it. Really wish GoG pushed Debian as a standard for those cases (for old games which the dev might not rebuild), because Ubuntu ages worse than Debian, when out of LTS.

If even not that, perhaps you can look into [wning

Yeah, just stay awake long and overwork your brain (preferable with stuff you like, or you'll fail to stay awake long enough).
You reach a point where you feel mentally tired, unable to concentrate well but unable to sleep because it is conflicting with your Carcadian rhythm. At that time, you can get to a relatively darker place, watch/read/think of whatever you want to hallucinate and it might work.

Make sure not to be sedentary during the whole exercise or you will require much more effort with much less effect.

Doing this alongside fasting, helps (makes you stay awake more).

At the end of it, your day and night cycle will be destroyed and you will have to restore it over time.

Oh and don't drive

So you mean there are laptop USB ports out there without current limiters?
I would want to check my PC's ports, but I am not filthy rich, so I'll just assume stuff is not current limited.

Ah sh✫t got me!

You managed to tick the buzz word without having to make a native app for my computer.

I normally like GitLab issues as a place for bug reports.

A FAQ and an old style forum works pretty well for help.
In fact, just make a community on Lemmy for the forum part and you'll have what's required.

GitHub also has this new "Discussions" thing which should do some good, for those that want to stay on GitHub

Story is horrible. Maybe the answer to what happened to parents would make it seem less horrible on US fascism angle. Maybe the fascism is so intense that no one is told what happened to the parents.

For now, I am really just going to assume that those were previously caught by ICE, due to the relevance to previous news.

Because, normally (stuff like death) you would have some legalese to get another guardian for the kid, which would then be available for the court proceedings and not have this happening.

The current resolutions as I see (from just the article though), seem to be more like - the children were staying with people, not very committed to keeping them and were initially hoping this to be a temporary measure until the parents "came back" (which never happened).
And now the children are having different sponsors (that read weird). What happens when the govt. goes around picking ppl out of those sponsors?

At this point, I don't think we need to care about where those people were born.

The government has decided to harass the people and if another government can come and say, "We will provide you 'work that pays' and a 'space to live'.", a lot of those people would be willing to go through the temporary strain of going to another country and adjusting.

And if the US govt. is willing to say 'NO' to the offer and torture the people, well, Putin might be shitting too much, but is still a politician and I don't see him letting go of the opportunity to band with UK (and the rest of the world), to go against the US this time.

One holocaust is enough for history. At least wait for the civilisation to (inevitable) forget the previous one, before creating another.

If the parents are being deported anyway, why don't they let their children go with them?

If a 4 year old (with her 8 yo sister next to her) is unable to realise and say that they had some papers related to their birth, which were separated from them (probably confiscated by the ICE and disposed off) I'd say, it's better for them to be deported.
Hopefully to a country with lesser brain-rot/poison in the water. Really, someone (country) just come and accept the children already. They need a better place than that.

Even better. Once they are accepted in a more reasonable country, they might have a better chance at reuniting with their parents.
I'd say, this is a good time for action for governments that are looking for more next-generation population.

Debian for work.

  • stable
  • feels lightweight (as compared to Ubuntu)

EndeavourOS for home usage.

  • Mostly Arch Linux, but has useful preinstalled stuff that makes configuration easier
  • get the latest kernel for the latest hardware
    • tends to run much faster than Debian on the same hardware. Also actually uses the CPU
  • don't need too many additional packages if I want to build from the master branch of any project, so I can make do without kdesrcbuild
  • also, I get my time's worth pretty soon after pushing to upstream
  • Steam (Native)

Recommendation for NAS: Debian of course. Choose hardware a few gens older though.

If you have old laptops, use OpenSUSE. It should be fun
