Yeah for sure, thats better in every way, but if you dont want to install another application thats the easiest way.

I would just run external games through steam with proton if you have those kinds of issues.
It is by no means free tho. They are making lots of money from selling your location data and furthering their market dominance by forcing it on everyone by default

For medium distance commuter cars and inner city travel those things dont matter and will probably be outweighed by the cost savings, safety and reliability of sodium batteries. The main issue right now with getting EVs into more peoples hands is cost.
