Oh no, someone is being reasonable on the internet!? ;) that's a good idea though. Also, rent seeking properties should be taxed higher.

Well... That sucks. Makes a depressing amount of sense.
I don't think anyone actually read the announcement, just the headline. Here was the new CEOs actual first point.
"First: Every product we build must give people agency in how it works. Privacy, data use, and AI must be clear and understandable. Controls must be simple. AI should always be a choice — something people can easily turn off. People should know why a feature works the way it does and what value they get from it."
I totally agree with you. In fact, I know people who use ChatGPT exclusively and don't touch the web anymore. Who knows who will have the best models, but they are definitely capturing a lot of people early.
Same for me... It's depressing. And I no faith the government will do anything besides make it worse. If we're lucky we'll get the Expanse 's version of basic.
Good points. Maybe that last could be part of the equation. Like a logarithmicly escalating rate for unoccupied rentals.
