So, the great thing about Framework is that if a part breaks you can just replace that part. This comes in really handy, and I'm speaking from experience, it really makes you realize that durability is not that big of a deal if you only have to replace a cheap part.

Some people have experienced QC issues on their FW16 but, Framework is really good about replacing parts if you are under warranty. The only thing you should know is that support is sometimes a little slow, so if this is going to be your only machine then maybe wait until they come up with the next CPU/GPU options.

I also plan to keep the laptop for a long time and I don't see any reason I wouldn't be able to

There's no reason to upgrade GPUs every year for most people

GOG's Windows launcher is bad so it's not really a big loss. Heroic Launcher is excellent and supports more than just GOG

How about we give the power company those 1.6 billion to build wind and solar instead? They are much faster to deploy
