One problem with this theory is that Russia was perfectly fine with Ukraine trading with Europe until the coup in 2014 happened.

Russia is a huge country has plenty of minerals and a low population. Trading people for more minerals isn't exactly in Russia's interest.

The US is like a franchise of that nightmare though.

Your premise if false. Defectors run off because they don't know what the conditions are like and have bought into propaganda. Many who leave end up regretting it once they realize what they got themselves into. An example here https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cqjre1zpz5ko

Incidentally, this was the case with the dissolution of USSR as well where many people expected their lives to improve with introduction of capitalism. They were quickly disabused of these delusions once they got to experience the system first hand.

Pretty much all the crazy accusations the west levels against the adversaries have either happened or are currently happening in the west.

I always find it fascinating how readily people in the west will believe the most patently absurd things about countries they've been told to hate.

Unsloth introduces reasoning capabilities in their platform using Group Relative Policy Optimization. GRPO allows users to transform standard models into reasoning models locally with as little as 7GB VRAM. Previously, GRPO was only supported for full fine-tuning, but now it works with QLoRA and LoRA.

It optimizes responses efficiently without requiring a value function, unlike Proximal Policy Optimization. Use cases for GRPO include creating customized models with rewards or generating reasoning processes for input-output data.
