This is the easiest thing for people with money, and motivation to avoid happening.

Remove the sim card if it's an older device, use a Faraday cage (your microwave is one) or a jammer. If you are the government you can also tell the telecom to block the phone from connecting

But code subject to copyright (which I agree with the concept of but it needs a reform). While concepts and ideas in computer programs and games can be patented (which I think is tremendously stupid)

Can you explain? I wish this was true but I don't believe it

I don't know how to windows, but in Linux I just disable the power button on my laptop. Long press still works, this was to avoid accidentally putting the laptop to sleep when accidentally pressing the power button

Wait, so you are saying that being open source and having a default search engine is the same as being both proprietary and being owned by a Chinese owner?

[–] ziggurat@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

What do you mean substitute Proprietary?

Is it not true?

I seam to remember they got bought, and then their Norwegian presence suddenly got much smaller

Partner integration? You mean a partner of them pays them to be allowed to look at your browsing habits?

Did opera leave Norway? Is this stuff worse after that, if they left? What country did they go to?

Arm owner softbank wants more mulah, want line goes up.

Qualcomm thinks this is not allowed in their license contract.

Without having read the contract, I think Qualcomm has a strong case, seams arm wants this to be settled before court in December. Qualcomm also thinks they have a strong case, so they say let the courts begin.

But it doesn't matter if it's an American court, because Qualcomm is American, softbank is Asian, arm is European. So, you have home turf advantage

Wife is one of those tropicals, she says they have both orange and green oranges, depending on the type. I asked her what type is green, and we have the same type here but it's orange.

Also Fanta is yellow, btw
