Today's game is Silent Hill f. I was originally going to wait for a sale and just pick it up, but through Humble i got a discount and decided "you know what, i was going to play 2. I'll pick this up and play it to warm up for October". That was yesterday. This game is short. I played it all today in one sitting. In total it took about 14 hours for one playthrough.

Honestly though, i kind of don't regret it. The last time i enjoyed a game this much would have been with either Silent Hill 2's Remake or Alan Wake II. Both of which i know i would have played in one sitting if i could. I think my only complaint is on the normal ending, and even then I think this is subject to change in the New Game+ ones.

spoiler

I will also add that the sections with the Fox arm took me out of the "Horror" vibe of it. It felt less like I was fighting for my life and more like i was pummeling things. I give it a pass though because of it's narrative importance making up for it.

I mentioned having a gripe about the ending. I will say, i actually really love the twist that it seems to be a battle in her head. At least that's what i got from it. It's the kind of twist i love and i wasn't expecting it. My only gripe is the lack of otherwordly elements in a Silent Hill game.

I still really enjoyed it though and I suspect that one of the other endings will rectify this (this is the reason i'm not talking much about the ending), and you know i'm going to go do all of them. Legit, it's super late and i'm already having to fight the urge not to go back in for another 14 hours.

Anyways, i really enjoyed it and i'm planning to go back for more. It's been a while since i enjoyed a game like this. I probably won't do it back to back though. I already have FF7 on my plate so i'll probably do it another day. Maybe another binge though? I think it'd be fun.

Overall i'd say if you know you're going to go seeking out all the endings it's worth it (maybe a little overpriced?), if not though, maybe wait for a major price drop.

The legal battle between game developer Bungie and cheat seller AimJunkies is over. A stipulated dismissal filed at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals effectively marks the end of the case, one notable for a first-ever verdict holding a cheat maker liable for copyright infringement. Comments shared with TorrentFreak suggest that AimJunkies takes full responsibility.

Ive seen that there are software you can download on web archive (archive.org), but it isnt listed in the megathread.

Should I suppose that it is as safe as it is downloading random stuff from the internet?

Hey, what do you guys use to share videos and screen share to your friends or colleagues? I'm looking to self host a video/call server that runs on webrtc (maybe?) with a fairly easy client experience. Something like mumble but for videos. Any suggestions?
