Until they can get laser projectors to match the brightness of at least older oled, I just can't use it as a main screen. The picture quality is great on a lot of them, just not bright enough to use in a windowed room.

It’ll never happen even if they get super bright. Can’t get darker than the thing it’s being projected on to. Contrast ratio will always be lacking.

I use a projector for my main entertainment display in a windowed room and when I find myself somewhere with a good large 4k screen I'm very aware of how much deeper the blacks are and how it's just a bit sharper on the tv. I don't mind trading the image quality for having it mounted up and out of the way though.
