It's really ironic that a lot of people equate game soundtracks with some sort of "kid music" or something that isn't "real music".
Most of UT2004's OST could be used on a rave and nobody would know any better.
I wish Catan was the go-to boardgame instead of Monopoly.
Ticket to Ride I think is a little better than Catan and just as (or more) newbie friendly.
Personally, I've become a huge fan of Blokus and have been showing it to people every chance I get. Responses have been very positive.
I might get a trigon version so it plays nicely with 3 people.
I hate Catan on the same level as Monopoly.
Though my favourite game is Unfathomable, so what do I know.
I'm already there 😅
Even worse, the Brazilian version, Banco Imobiliário, which is what "everyone played" here, was an even worse game than Monopoly.
UT music made me remind that electronic music can be good in the times when my main exposure for such music were really bad trance songs, but which had (awful) Hungarian lyrics, thus was a "must listen to" in my country.
I use doom OST to work out.
The doom OST are absolute bangers. Can't argue with that.

There's this music genre in Brazil called funk (different to the US funk from the 70), and they're pretty experimental on what they mix in and they use a lot of chip tune and other video games songs mixed. One of those DJs (DJ Bassan) regularly mix in donkey Kong or Chrono Trigger OST in the middle of her sets.
I’d personally throw the Frostpunk OST in their face and see how they react.
