That doesn't mean you can't work with them on a common cause, and maybe even show them the benefits of your way if thinking, but don't get caught out when they turn on you.

That line diminished their entire point. ‘I’ll ally with fascists when it serves me’ is exactly how we got here.
We got here because there were enough fascist supporters and apathetic nonparticipants to defeat the equity and equality supporters in an election.
We didn't get here because people crossed the aisle to the fascist side.
