They aren't actually plastic though... They're made of starch, as a biodegradable alternative to plastic.
Essentially, they're Cheetos
I would bet real money that these toothpicks biodegrade faster than Cheetos.
I would bet real money that these toothpicks have more nutritional value than Cheetos.
Cheetos are mostly air, theres a lot more surface area for microbes. Thoothpicks need to be dense to be strong enough to function. I wouldn't put my money on that.
