About that bit: turns out, basically every CCD (camera sensor) over 30 MP groups 2 and lately even 4 pixel as one, because better lighting saturation and the processor and storage couldn't handle the high resolution anyway. But bigger numbers, you know?

Btw, ever heard about fake transistors in the times where transistor radios were new?
