How about you Prime Video subscription?

Yes, we have it

Great! Let's watch

You have to pay £12.99 for it

What? I already pay you monthly! Why?!

Because fuck you.

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 40 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Even the stuff that prime has available. I still torrent, just because their player is pure garbage (the X-ray thingy is a nice feature, tho)

[–] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 8 points 4 days ago (1 children)

yep. I no longer pay for prime, but in the last few months of having it, I just torrented it anyways. whoever designed that app for the Apple TV should be forced to use it for 2 years straight

Oh it's utter garbage, it straight up doesn't work in Firefox. I'm not going to switch to Chrome just to use the app I shouldn't have to.

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 7 points 3 days ago

To fucking rent it at that.

[–] jol@discuss.tchncs.de 19 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Same with Apple TV. They are both a subscription and a rental.

Corporate spit roasting! Nice.

[–] Electricd@lemmybefree.net 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

That's for things that aren't on Prime but are available on Amazon

[–] lka1988@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yes, that's the point being made. One could already paying for a Prime membership, yet still needs to pay more money for shows that should already be included in said Prime membership.

Except they aren’t because rights don’t work like that. Not all rights holders want to enable streaming following those guidelines, but might wanted a fixed price per view

Are you fine with being a moron or does that bother you?

You ran out of arguments so now you’re personally attacking me. Pathetic.

[–] lka1988@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 days ago

No point in arguing, since you clearly don't understand the real issue at hand.

Bootlicker.
