The fact that you can add any game to Steam is pretty consumer-friendly, I think.

True, "add any software." It's just most beneficial for games.

Oh, I see. I consider those games as well, since you're not going to install one without any games included. It's also possible to make a shortcut so a single game boots up in an emulator.
