Who would have thought Americans would be so weak in the face of a fascist takeover. It's truly pathetic.
Plenty of pushback against Trump. But the news coverage is always some mix of "These leftists are too weak to stop us" and "These leftists are ruining America! Send in tanks to crush them!"
Trump's already had somewhere north of three different assassination attempts on him. We've got protests and riots running from LA to DC. How many times does a President have to call out the National Guard to suppress the public before it counts?
It's kinda ridiculous how out of touch the "why aren't Americans regularly shooting politicians" crowd is. Like, just completely ignoring how militarized American law enforcement is and treating the gun ownership rates as evenly distributed instead of recognizing that the same people who support Trump are the sorts to own 20-100 guns.
Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if encouraging leftists to go out and buy guns to kill politicians is straight out of the COINTELPRO playbook, given what the FBI has been doing to the Muslim communities in the US. As well a thought out argument as you've had today.
Has there ever been a more timid, passive, weak, complacent, idiotic population than the current USA?
From afar I watched them passively accept people dying or losing their homes because they couldn't afford health care. I saw them go off to fight stupid unjustifiable wars overseas with little protest. But it is when I saw them accept their kids dying in mass slaughters in schools with barely any outrage for decades that I realized they had lost their humanity. If you can accept such outrageous things without acting you can and will accept anything.
A large number of them actively cheer their own downfall as a nation, their own impoverishment, their slavery and their stupidity. I wouldn't underestimate the tasking of rebuilding a civilized society there. They might kick the Trumpists out with some effort but the rot goes very, very deep.
You ever visited Ontario? Alberta?
I honestly feel that the best thing for America is to break into two parts, let the Maga / Racists have their own country, and the normal ones their own. America isn't compatible with itself as it stands.
They fought a very bloody civil war to avoid that outcome and the US is a much, much stronger country if they bury their differences and work for a common good. In many ways a split would be a much worse outcome than even what we are seeing at the moment.
It's funny that, the North supposedly won, doesn't look that way these days. Do you honestly think they can bury their differences? Maybe in a few generations if these Trump policies are reversed soon. Otherwise it doesn't look good for America.
The south is still losing. Doing even worse under Trump. Things are grim out there. People will swallow their pride and their hate for a better life for them and their kids. Well sane people will anyway. It has happened throughout history. Bitter enemies lay down their weapons and go back to living a life together. I don't believe the US has met my personal definition of sane for some time, accepting stuff no sane society would. The media and for profit religion has a big role in the psychosis I am sure.

I'm between Lebanon which is already fucked and Nigeria which is, well Nigeria. More developed countries will be graced well before it hits these parts. Hopefully it will be too late then and lets just fuck the world.
