The kind of situational awareness you describe is wasted on people who would do best by changing their situation entirely, or whose parents need a wake-up call to realize that its time to learn to knock.
"certified freak" is also relative. If I met them, while we couldn't bond over deer vagina, I would probably just see them as a suitable new friend. Their parents, on the other hand.
Hell, if their parents met me, they might be more thankful for the spawn they have by comparison. I would do my best to make sure of it.
Situationial awareness is still necessary to recognize what kinds of situations are problematic and how to stage a wake-up call. Assuming anon is a teenager, there probably isn't that much they can do to change their situation entirely.
