What has Poland to do with any genocide?

[–] pinkapple@lemmy.ml 7 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Ask the Polish collaborators at the operation Reinhardt camps.

[–] lemmus@szmer.info -2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Who was leading the operation? Not Poles - GERMANS, no Pole would invent and finalize such idea. You talk about repressioned collaborators (also COLLABORATORS, not the whole hq or country) you know nothing yet you wanna blame the good guys. I'm curious if you would not collaborate while having a pistol pointed on your head. Think before writing cuz you just gave me example of GERMAN operation.

Although historians say the Holy Cross Mountains Brigade collaborated with the Nazis, a representative of the veterans, Jan Józef Kasprzyk, sought to deny such a link.

Kasprzyk described the claims of collaboration as a product of postwar communist propaganda meant to smear the unit’s legacy.

The official rehabilitation of the brigade began when Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki honored its members at a cemetery in Munich in February 2018.

Morawiecki asserted at a news conference the same day that there were some “Jewish perpetrators” of the Holocaust.

Hahaha you self-destroyed any of your arguments. You are basically giving me a shit press which collaborated with nazis blaming Poles to collaborate with nazis. You better watch yourself at what you feed your brain with, cuz this shit is definitely not good. I have a feeling that I'm talking to flat-earther, no joke. They did not even link ANY source, none, they just manipulated the reality to make you believe what you believe. Crazy. Here, just see the "controversies" tab: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Associated_Press

[–] pinkapple@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You're demonstrating the effect of nationalism to the human brain. I don't really care that you're aligned with Polish nationalist historical revisionists (far right obviously), I'm adding the context for everyone else to see.

[–] lemmus@szmer.info -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You are telling the lies, not adding the context. What you're telling here should be a shame for you if you have anything to do with Poland. Even worse if you are a Polish leftist, as you only give the reasons to never ever vote for left, cuz thats what we gonna get. Lies, covered in anti-national stories. Let's repeat then: Poland has NOTHING to do with genocides, its ukrainians who did the grnocide to Poles, its germans who did the genocide to jews AND Poles, and you won't change the truth. Anyone here wondering who is right will look up the wikipedia and see what I'm telling clearly aligns with facts - while your opinion is based on 1 publication of nazi press. Shame on you.

[–] pinkapple@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Keep being vocally a far right nationalist while saying that Associated Press is "nazi press" and acting like nobody knows about the Polish far right politicians lol and don't get me started about who should be ashamed when there were all these "innocent" Poles who lived right next to Treblinka and Sobibor and didn't notice anything. Minding their own business with extermination camps ten minutes away. Stop whining about it because Polish inactivity is infamous and pretty well attested in the Holocaust sources. Even when you have to honor the "resistance" they end up being anticommunists and nazis.

[–] lemmus@szmer.info -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I see you complaining to a robber pointing a riffle on your head that he already killed someone. You never experienced hard living conditions so you can tell basically nothing about them "not doing anything" (btw IT IS STILL NOT GENOCIDE, the same way you can blame the whole world for not doing anything in case of Gaza). You are using antilogic and have no arguments against Poles, they did NOTHING wrong, they got attacked and tried to stay alive themself, and you blame them for not being a supermen and not saving everyone. Think about yourself, shame on you! And I'm not any far right nationalist, its you who said that, just because I'm defending an innocent country, INNOCENT.

[–] pinkapple@lemmy.ml 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Who is innocent you fucking goon? Poland invaded Czechoslovakia in 1938 with the nazis but you get to eternally whine about the German-Soviet invasion a year later due to cold war historiography painting poor little Poland as the victim, completely avoiding to mention that you went for a land grab first. And you have the nerve to act like there's nothing bad to be said about Polish cowardice despite 3 million Polish Jews dying there. Gtfo with your shitty excuses, several occupied countries were perfectly capable of rescuing Jews and mounting very successful resistance movements like in Yugoslavia etc. Tito would have ended the nightmare in Treblinka in a single operation, there was barely any significant force guarding the extermination camps because the Polish resistance and the population didn't give a fuck when they weren't literal collaborators as I showed earlier.

Yeah it's particularly a Polish thing to let three million citizens die with zero attempt to attack the camps because omg they have rifles!

[–] lemmus@szmer.info 0 points 1 day ago

You are officially the biggest fucking idiot I ever met on lemmy. You got another random argument because you lost two others, and invasion on Czechoslovakia WAS NOT GENOCIDE YOU FUCKING MORON. NO GENOCIDE POLES DID, IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT THEN GET THE FUCK OUT TO SCHOOL. Now how far was Yugoslavia from Berlin, and Poland hmm? Also good you said POLISH JEWS, so Poles mainly struggled by war and you fucking bullshit about Poles not rescuing THEMSELVES. Really shut the fuck up already, enough lies you told, you are currently more delusional than those far-right nationalists you keep mentioning. Go to fucking school, read something before you bark again. Invasion is not genocide, repression is not genocide and not being a superhero is also not genocide. So summing up POLAND DID NO GENOCIDE, which is basically the comment I gave here.

Repressions on Ukrainians during 1930's could - and should - be considered genocidal. Then there's the rest of Kresy with forced polonisation of Belarusians and tutejszych

[–] lemmus@szmer.info -1 points 3 days ago

You are delusional here. Repressions is not genocide, and its UKRAINIANS who did genocide on Poles in 1943. Read it, cuz you tell absolute lies: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacres_of_Poles_in_Volhynia_and_Eastern_Galicia

Clearly Poles got again not repressioned - they got massively murdered with cold blood and with special cruelty. Read what Ukrainians did to Poles and tell me when Poles did the same to anyone.

I was looking thinking that's the Indonesian flag. Then noticed Poland next to Australia

[–] Noite_Etion@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago

Yeah! And what did Australia do... Oh wait.

However, the Finnish air force began using it many years before the birth of Nazi Germany,

[–] davel@lemmy.ml 14 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yes, because Count Eric von Rosen introduced it to the Finns first. von Rosen was Hermann Göring’s brother-in-law.

[–] ThirdConsul@lemmy.ml 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

The article you linked says

Göring had noted the swastika during his stay in Sweden and at von Rosens' castle (forged into a metal piece at the fireplace). However, the swastika of the German Nazi party had been adopted already in 1920, two years before Göring met Adolf Hitler.

Seems like a case of multiple shitheads liking the same symbol independently?

[–] mathemachristian@lemmy.ml 8 points 4 days ago

Now why would a count van rosen, who hosts hermann göring in his castle before the nazis even have any power, be taken to the swastika?

Just one of those random coincidences I'm sure...
