For Project Zomboid that take is obviously stupid. But any builder where you’d share a bank account or otherwise a shared bank of resources gets a hard No from me, too. You’re always waiting for the bank account to fill up for the thing you want to build while the other person is throwing money away. Best-case scenario is you’re taking turns, with one person not doing much while the other builds.

If you want to play a game with friends, choose a game that you can actually play with friends, not one where you take turns playing a single-player game.

My opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I think they're talking about Planet Zoo, not Project Zomboid. After all, they're talking about "expanding the zoo" and comparing it to Planet Coaster.

I've found it's helpful to actually talk to your friends, discuss what you want to do, and agree at least a rough plan if who does what. If you are actually friends, or even just a bunch of reasonable aquaintances, you're going to be able to come up with something that is satisfactory everyone, then, when that's done, come up with a new plan, thus time prioritising those who got less of what they want lst time.

Speaking of, satisfactory is an amazing game with coop building. Similarly, terraria, just building houses, buildings, towns. Awesome with multiple people, but yeah you need a plan.

The currency is a good point tho. But if that's balanced enough, it can be fun.

Glad youvmade that connection lol

You missed the point of my comment: There is always someone waiting. This isn’t cooperative. It’s a waiting game with turns.

Maybe we're talking across each other, I haven't played Project Zomboid, so I can't comment on that, but I was replying to the rest of your comment.

It could be down to different play styles; I can certainly see it being very frustrating if you're all doing different things and someone is hogging the resources, but if you're working together on a shared plan there's no waiting around. Maybe some people are collecting resources, some are processing them and some are building for instance. You're not waiting for your turn to build, because you, colkectively, have a plan and everyone is working together to achieve it.

If there’s a whole process about gathering resources, then I agree with you. I was talking about games like Tycoon, where the only resource is money and the only way to get it is to wait for it to accumulate.

Oh, fair enough, yes, that'd be no fun at all.
